4 Branches of the Mabinogion

The Mabinogion is a collection of classic Welsh folk tales that dates back to the 13th century, dealing with the themes of redemption, love, trust and revenge.

This immersive retelling split each story into a separate scene, placed on a trail throughout the woods that the audience could move through. Each scene was performed through a different medium -from ballads to poetry to a fire show - and was presented by different performers, who had each devised their own scenes.

Featuring nationally celebrated poet Alice Oswold and award winning playwright Peter Oswold, this radical reimagining brought the community together and old stories to life!
